From our private aquatic base in Bayahibe we will sail towards the most beautiful beaches the Island of Saona has to offer. On our way, aboard our comfortable & unique motorized Catamaran you can lay back and enjoy the views. We will cruise along the national park of Cotubanama and see Peñon, a rock formation where you will learn more about the park and some History of the early DR.
Arriving at the Natural Pool, everybody goes in the water! In less than 3 feet of turquoise water with a white sandy bottom enjoy dominican happy hour! Then we will see the mangroves, those trees growing in sea water that are a important nursery for birds and fishes. As we pass by them, learn about this fragile eco-system and maybe see a few sea turtles.
Will then head for a magnificient, fully furnish Catuano Beach. Here, in our private area, we will serve you a delicious typical Dominican meal. Enjoy the beach chairs, swimming, sunbathing, cold drinks and even more! Then we will leave and continue this journey towards Mano Juan.
At the village of Mano Juan you can choose between lazing around and sunbathing or visiting the sea turtle nursery*. Our experienced guide will invite you to discover this charming community of fishermen and craftsmen!
After the visit, we will leave for Canto de la playa, the most remoted beach but also the most exotic and wild (no facilities) of the island. There, you will have enough time to enjoy all of its splendor and exotism. Palm trees, white sands, turquoise waters, coral reefs and more. Enjoy the sun, bath in the warm carribean sea, snorkel the beautiful reefs. For the advanced snorkelers or snorkelers to be, our guide will give a short snorkeling course so that you can maximize your experience in the reef and discover the beauty of their corals and fish in less than 5 feet of water.
The itinerary of this excursion is made to visit the different places with a strategic schedule to avoid visiting them at the ‘’peak’’ of tourist hours!
*(The Sea turtle Nursery of Mano Juan is a non-governmental project carried out by a local family of the village, at their own initiative and within their means. You will witness the incubations of the eggs. Since hatching depends on Mother Nature, we cannot guarantee you will see baby turtles)
