From the charming village of Bayahibe,aboard our Safari truck, we will set course to the outback country of Benerito. Arriving at our authentic ranch your 4 wheeler or buggy awaits! At the wheel of your little all terrain speedster we are riding towards the jungle to meet with a Cultivator on his beautiful private Banana plantation. There freshly cooked from his wood stove he will serve us some specialities of his garden and for sure will taste the best bananas of your life! While at the plantation get wet in the famous river of Chavon in its most secluded area.
Then on the go to cross the sugar cane fields in which you will learn all about this important industry. Eat some freshly cut, sweet & juicy sugar cane. On the way, stop to the DR railroad station just before heading to a Batey. The Bateys are the cane cutter's villages. At this village the children and habitants will run in the streets to greet us and exchange!! Maybe they will let us visit their little school, if you have things you would want to give...this is the place. An experience you will never forget and will surely make you wonder!
Leaving the Batey let's take a new direction via Santa Cruz d'El Gato, an authentique Dominican village that still lives without electricity.
We then head out towards the famous Chavon river. This river offers a mesmorizing view. Hollywood even shot films in that area... Films like Anaconda, Rambo and Apocalypse Now, just to name a few. During your time at the river observe the wildlife as this is the best place to see the most abundant bird species of the DR. Lets make a refreshing swim stop on a bed of river pebbles far from civilisation surrounded by the Tropical forest. For those with some energy left...swiming and Tarzan rope jumping!
We will then hop back on the Buggys to go to the Indian's place in the village of El Gato where lunch will be served. Visit of his typical Dominican kitchen, on the menu : river shrimps, sea shrimps, chicken, gruper fish, rice, yuca, and other Dominican treats. This may be your best meal during your vacation!!
After lunch time for one of the most popular sport in the Dominican Republic...Rooster fights. Assist a real rooster fight (we have made it light for a general audience) during this time you will learn everthing on the rituals of this extreme sport not to be missed while in the DR!

Continuing, we will arrive where our safari truck awaits us, and drive us to a wonderful ecological reserve where you will find iguanas, snakes, ducks, horses, and the ZIP LINES!! 7 zip line descents in this extraordinary scenery of the Tropical forest and River of Chavon! During the tour learn about the surrounding tropical forest and its wildlife.
